The primary goal of naiin is the effective and sustained fight against criminally punishable activity on the Internet and, as such, the development of appropriate countermeasures.
In this, naiin sees itself as an organisation that promotes the exercise of self-control throughout the entire Internet community. The Internet economy is not solely responsible for promoting adherence to social norms on the Internet; society and politics are equally accountable for showing self-responsibility with regard to the use of the medium.
At the same time, the initiative is also active in defending democratic values in the worldwide data communications network – with the goal of making it a free form of understanding among nations. The organisation’s objective also includes promoting crime prevention.
In order to achieve its goals, naiin acts with the support of a comprehensive and diversified set of measures.
